Our founder, and riding instructor Katie is a current speech therapist that works in our local public school system. She is a PATH certified therapeutic riding instructor (CTRI) and has over 30 years experience with riding horses. Katie also loves providing adaptive riding to folks of all abilities! Katie holds licenses with the New York Racing Association. Katie has ridden in dressage, eventing, and was a 4 year member of the Nazareth College collegiate equestrian team. She has owned 2 off the track thoroughbreds, one rescue pony, and has cared for many retired thoroughbreds and thoroughbreds in training. Katie is also a Speech-Language Pathologist and a NY state certified teacher of students with speech and language disabilities and she will be certified in hippotherapy in May of 2024. Katie is also the Genesee region Special Olympics Equestrian team coach and enjoys being a part of such a bigger purpose!
Our fundraising and program manager, Tracy Page, is a certified NYS teacher with special education certification, and holds an educational administration certification as well. She was born and raised into thoroughbred breeding, training, and racing as a second generation owner and trainer of racehorses. Tracy has competed in multiple disciplines over the years with off the track racehorses whom she bred and raised herself, in eventing, dressage, and cross country to name a few. Tracy and her family are also small business owners in our Spencerport community. She comes to us well versed in business, education, everything horses, and a mom of four. Her passion for family and animals is above and beyond and we are very lucky to have her aboard!
Our social media and website tech is the one and only Shannon Quinlan. We miss her dearly but are so very proud of her for pursuing her dreams of becoming a veterinarian and wish her luck as she attends veterinary school! She has a huge work ethic and is and always has been there for our program and organization! Shannon has managed the farm, helped with the care of our crew, and continues to help from afar as she continues her journey!
